I co-wrote two vertical video shorts for PBS Origins and Digital Studios for a special Fourth of July episode of A People’s History of Native America.

The first vertical short, published on October 12th for Indigenous Peoples’ Day, uncovers how the image of Uncle Sam was used as a propaganda tool to promote the idea of Manifest Destiny and Westward expansion.

The second vertical video short, which will be published during Native American Heritage Month, traces the historical path to Native American citizenship in the United States. The video explores the legal and political barriers that Indigenous peoples faced in gaining U.S. citizenship on their own ancestral lands.
